Dissatisfied with my experience.I ordered a system in 2015 which was great, went very well, and wanted to order again. Things seemed to have slipped.I raised an order in November for a new computer which was delivered on Christmas eve. I had intermittent issues and eventually contacted support, after very long wait times (1 hour plus) on phone I was asked to start pulling components out and reinserting which I refused. Had to go to the inconvenience of sending back, weeks waiting for it to be tested to be told the CPU was faulty and not picked in their testing process. I was offered a new CPU & a free upgrade to gold warranty which I refused not trusting the integrity of the system.I tried ordering a further system on Monday this week and (probably because of this last order) was finance referred. I was notified that I would have an answer likely the same business day but in no more than 2 days. 4 days later I phoned up as no decision had been made, and after spending an hour on hold was told everything had been submitted and that I should contact the finance company. After eventually getting hold of them I was told no application had been received from PC specialist. Trying to phone later that day and being told I was in a hold queue of over 20 people (a queue of 12 people took me longer than an hour earlier to get through) I tried again first thing this morning and managed to speak to their support team again.I explained the situation - that their finance company hadn't received the application. They then started giving me Hitachi reference numbers, not paying much attention to what the finance company had told me (Hitachi also mentioned that they'd received other enquiries from PC Specialist customers that day having the same issue). They suggested that I call the company again which I refused, asking to speak to someone who wasn't going to look at a screen and tell me "computer says no" or I was going to cancel my order. Their answer to this was "Ok.""Ok what?""Ok shall I process your refund now?"This is the level of customer service you are risking. £3k for a computer is a lot of money for me but obvious PC Specialist don't care about my order.Pointing this out I asked for a complaints process and was fobbed off with a general enquiries email address. I was offered at this point to speak to Finance and refused to give me a time / show any sense of urgency despite the fact I've gone another week now without a computer due to their incompetence and have been sat on a rather large deposit. Still waiting now to hear back from finance and I will be sure to post back here how long this takes.EDIT 1: Received a prompt email back from customer service re my issue confirming finance was looking into the issue. After some back and forth an automated email came through advising finance had been referred. Had been told the day before it was all sorted which was not the case, so annoyed about the time on the phone / miscommunication but appreciate it getting sorted eventually and the responses here. Upped to 2 stars, will monitor the order and may change again depending how things go.

The computer was perfect, nothing wrong with it at all. Delivery however took longer than expected. I'd selected the one day delivery option, and in fairness it was delivered in one day. What they didnt mention is that it would take 4-5 days to dispatch for delivery, leaving me waiting a week longer than anticipated. Otherwise, absolutely perfect computer and very fair repayment schedule.

Beautiful case

Beautiful case, comprehensive manual and instructions, very well protected and delivered with haste. I am very happy with my purchase :)

Very happy old gamer.

Very happy with the final product, although it did take a lot longer to build due to the Global graphics card shortage. Despite this i was impressed with the service that i received from PC Specialist.

This is my third PC from PC Specialist…

This is my third PC from PC Specialist and I would and do recommend them to anyone that wants a PC to their own spec. My PC was assembled and dispatched quicker than we expected, the speedy service and constant updates on my orders progress were excellent.

Very good product

Very good product and I was kept informed on the progress of the build on a constant basis. I would highly recommend anyone wanting a top quality product then this is the company for you.

Overall Good But Not Perfect

I found their website easy to use and I was able to put together a computer system quickly and easily while making amendments throughout. It took months to arrive but this is not the fault of PCS as globally its been difficult to source certain components. When my computer arrived, it was very well packaged and contained everything I needed. Spare items that were not used in the computer were put into a box in case I needed them for the future. The only negatives I would say are:- I specifically asked for 3 fans mounted to the front of the case. Instead I got 2 fans mounted to the front and 1 to the rear. I planned to add my own rear fan but now I have to move the rear fan to the front when I shouldn't have to. - The case I selected (I actually sent in the case to PCS.... The Phanteks p600s) has Velcro strap ties with designated slots for cable management. These Velcro straps were not used at all and instead plastic cable ties were used. - The case had an anti-sag GPU bracket which was not installed. There is slight GPU sag present but nothing major. - There is a designated slot within the PSU shroad cover for the 2x 8 pin GPU PCI-E power cables to go through to plug into the front of the GPU. This slot was not used and instead the cables were routed through the rear slots. This is an untidy approach and meant the case side panel behind the motherboard was difficult to close due to so many cables being routed through the same rear slot. - I was told when asked that the motherboard BIOS would have been updated to the latest during the testing phase. When I checked, it was 4 revisions out of date (3 months old)- There was an inconsistency between different members of staff when asking for stock information. I was told that switching from a 3060 Ti GPU to a 3070 would not speed up the wait as both GPUs are at similar waiting times. On the forum some members were told differently. Forum members who made the switch all started going into the building stage very quickly. It's just frustrating.

I would certainly recommend PC…

I would certainly recommend PC Specialist Ltd. Unfortunately my order was delayed a number of months due to availability of a particular component, which was out PC Specialist's control. I was kept informed of progress with my order, particularly at the point of build and delivery.

Amazing PC. However, the service not so much.

I've had my PC for 10 days and I'm so happy with it. However, the service not so much. Let me explain...Please see below my details on dates / progress of pc.I ordered my PC 11-10-2020 Pre-Production Date 16-10-2020Build Date 04-02-2021Test Date 05-02-2021Awaiting Dispatch Date 16-02-2021Dispatch Date 17-02-2021As you can see the pre-production date is incredibly long. However, I do not blame PC specialist for this as there is a global restraint on Nvidia RTX 3080 graphics cards. During the pre-production period I had contacted PC specialist via telephone at least once a month to check on the status.The problem during this time was calling PC specialist, it was a nightmare. Usually 1 - 2 hour wait in the queue, then when I finally got through the person on the other end of the line was less than helpful. One individual in December had told us to expect the PC to be built in late December or early January at the latest, much to my disappointment it was not.Fast forward to February.... I received an email from PC Specialist to state my PC was in the building phase! I was thrilled I knew my graphics card had arrived! As you can see my build date was only one day which I was pleased about.The testing phase however, was disappointing.I had read on PC specialist that the testing phase can be 1-2 days or more if there is an issue during the QC process. This process had taken 11 days, I had emailed PC specialist asking why the testing had taken so long and the response from PC specialist "So your order is in testing still and there looks to be a problem in the testing so it may take longer, there is no notes as of yet for what the problem is but as soon as we find out we will let you know." They had never let me know what the problem was.... I checked for the notes on my log in page I couldn't find anything. So, I decided to call them and find out what the issue was during the testing phase..... The gentleman whom had answered my call didn't know what the issue was during the testing phase. I had explained to him that I had started a new job and require the PC by the end of the week. Much to my delight I received the glorious email later that day stating my PC was Awaiting Dispatch Date and I had received my PC the following day.I've had my PC for 10 days now and I have no issues with it at all. It was a shame about the wait time but I guess some things can't be helped. I do believe that PC specialist was finding it difficult to keep customers happy during the Nvidia RTX 3080 restraint. Hopefully, whoever reads this review finds it helpful. The best advice I can give is to purchase a sought after graphics card separately (the prices online are inflated) or buy an upgrade later on after the demand has been met.

so far so good , took a long time to build etc.. but all working ok , and to be fair you did state the build time so no bad feelings

Pre-Order Signifcant Delays - Wooly Communication

Ordered my Gaming PC in October and finally received it on the 10th February.Delays were due to significant high demands for NVidia RTX 3080 GPU.Communications:Automated communications are pointless as they seem to set expectations only to be changed a few days or weeks later for the build date.Service desk communications appeared to be very woolly and contradictory from previous responses with the inability to answer a simple questions like position in queue for build.I was told they had 1500+ orders and only 200+ GPUs since December. They was not able to provide a straight answer if I was going to be one of those 200.My experience with their communication was very much like the expression ‘Donkey with a carrot’ only to find there is no carrot at the end.After many months of back and forth exchanging communication, I raised a complaint which to my surprise appeared to put the wheels in motion with my system build. Build Quality:Build quality and packaging appear to be very exceptional however upon connecting the desktop for the first time I got beeps but no display.After checking cabling and checking components inside ensuring all seated I was then getting a display but still beeps and not booting to the operating system.This was due to BIOS complaining about CPU fan not working even though this is on a water cooling system. I simply changed an option within the BIOS and got it working.Taking on board the situation with the pandemic I do feel that some exceptions should be made, but given vague responses and the issues faced with system booting from first boot I feel somewhat frustrated with the overall experience and hope this is a lesson they will learn from.I believe in giving second chances also first impressions so hopefully should I require their services again I will have a much more pleasant experience.

Customer service issues
